Things are a bit cramped at the moment, having to divide my space into bedroom/studio. I’ve whited out a couple of walls to create a studio section, and is working well. At least until I can afford a proper studio.

“On CDOs and Double Clubs”, was an experiment on the value of art that took place at August Art in London back in March. I donated an Asda Smart Price painting and chose some mail art ‘cheques’ in return. Full documentation can be seen on the August Art website.

I like to make things using cheap/budget materials and these are the first of a range of pieces using granny shopper bags. Zoe Sawyer made the stool with me one cold day in theartmarket.

Having not worked with Donna since ‘Home Sweet Home’ at the Common Place, I jumped at the chance to help her with her commission by East Street Arts to build a bar from reclaimed materials. We scoured Hyde Park for unwanted fences, doors and furniture and made a remarkably stylish and robust bar!

An Arts Council funded collaboration between theartmarket and Artsparkle; An Argos themed selling show dealing with multiples.

Artsparkle and theartmarket collaborated on the concept and project development including:
— Call for submissions and selection of artists
— Design of catalogue and promotional material
— Marketed through local and national channels
— Managed a budget of £5000

22nd September 2007: Theartmarket ventured up North for The Really Supermarket art fair at the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA). The fair was organised by Bob and Roberta Smith.

Curatorial project aimed at challenging the profit focused art market by allowing people to trade artworks for free.
